Families of the MLK Community,
The MLK PTSA website is intended to provide
· timely information on events and activities at MLK,
· resources for additional information,
· information that augments the school website,
· avenues for parents to become more involved in their child’s public education, and
· enhanced communication between parents, teachers and students.
We can create a true sense of school community when we all work together to support our children’s education, health and safety by being involved as they work their way through the middle school years. The MLK PTSA is offering you a way to stay informed, become more involved and help all our children to succeed.

MCPS Delayed Openings - Early Dismissals - School Closure
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> Please DO NOT call the school. Listen to local radio stations or watch local TV stations. The MCPS cable channel can be found on Comcast Channel 34. The MCPS information line is 301-279-3673. The MCPS web page is www.mcpsmd.org. You may also check at www.schools-out.com <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--> Weather related closures are decided by 5:00 am and reported to local radio and TV stations. If a 2-hr delay is called for, the MLK day will start at 9:55 am. If an early closure is necessary, students at MLK will be dismissed at 12:10 pm. This decision will be made by 11:00 am.
